London Gelato Festival 2018

The London Gelato Festival is back in town. And this year it’s being held in the lovely Covent Garden. And I am really excited to say that I am attending again this year, courtesy of the lovely people at Tasty Comms.

Now in it’s 9th year the Gelato Festival is a Europe wide competition. It’ll see gelato makers competing to create an award winning take on the Italian dessert. The flavours are all created specially for the event, so you can guarantee there will be some unique combinations for you to try. Once you have tasted them all you can vote for your favourite. The winner will then be sent to the 2021 World Masters event in Florence. Which you may know is the gelato capital of the world.

The Gelato Festival kicked off in Italy way back in April, and after a stop in Germany and Poland has finally made its way to London’s Covent Garden. As well as tasting the gelato, there is also a whole host of events running through the weekend. Including masterclasses and regular demonstrations. Where you’ll be able to see first hand how gelato is created.

So if you’re free this Saturday and Sunday (23rd and 24th June) get yourself into central to the festival and get tasting! And don’t forget to vote for your favourite whilst you’re there.

Until next time.
