About Me

d54dd71c-484a-487c-a817-cfde72ee3cc1

Hi everyone I’m Sage. Currently living in London. Working as a marketer for a student travel company and freelancing as a travel writer. When I’m not working and travelling you’ll find me drinking tea, reading and blogging. Plus watching all the cat and dog videos I can find.

I’ve been blogging on WordPress since I started university way back in 2011, but since then this blog has evolved into the travel blog you see today. I’ve gone from blogging on a WordPress site to owning my own domain, and since becoming self hosted and purchasing this new (and awesome) blog theme.

If you want to see more about my travels follow me on Instagram Or if you want to hear more of my ramblings whilst travelling follow me on Twitter.

  • Hall Place in Bexley is part of the #openhouselondon programme for this year. I visited last summer and it was such a nice place to visit. The gardens are beautiful and it makes for a great picnic spot too!
  • It’s @openhouselondon this weekend. Where are you going to explore? This was taken way back in 2017 when me and Dan visited City Hall in London. What a stunning building and a fantastic weekend if you’re looking to explore London in a way that you’re not always able.
  • I’ve only been an English Heritage member for a month but I already LOVE it! This is just some of the things they send you when you sign up, as well as giving you access to 400 sites around the England, free parking and other discounts too. All this for just £8.75 per month (for both me and Dan). Check out my latest blog post for more information on why you should become a member.
  • Happy Saturday! I’ve spent my day in Manchester attending my first #BlogAtTheBeach event. There were great talks, free rum punch, delicious food and a room full of travel bloggers I got to meet and catch up with! And hey, I even won at beer pong!
  • Touristing in Windsor this summer. We opted to not have a tour of Windsor Castle and instead walked the 2.65 miles down the Long Walk, through the Windsor Great Park to the Cooper Horse. The views of Windsor and the ancient trees lining the path were beautiful. The only downside? Walking the 2.65 miles back.
  • On the day this photo was taken @danm121 and I walked 14 miles. We wandered around Little Italy, Boston Harbour, Haymarket, Boston Common and Harvard Square. There’s a lot to see in the city and it’s so easy to navigate on foot. The best way to see a city in my opinion.
  • I’m back from Boston and feeling SUPER jet lagged. It was a productive work trip and I got to spend some time exploring at the weekend too! The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway is a lovely spot in the city. And the perfect location for browsing the street food and craft stalls in the sun.
  • Doing what we do best when in the USA... eating pizza! Stumbled across Monica’s Mercato Pizza whilst wandering the streets of Boston’s Little Italy! 🇮🇹 🍕 🇺🇸
  • Lovely day spent catching up with @cat_turley in Richmond. There was sun, free shots and a huge rubber duck! 🦆
  • (GIFTED) Birthday boating 🥳 🛥 💦 I was lucky enough to spend my birthday boating along the river around Kingston and Hampton Court. Such beautiful views, company and weather. Thank you to @goboatldn for the experience.
  • (GIFTED) Discovering the street art in Brooklyn’s Bushwick was one of my favourite parts of our New York trip. I got to learn more about the area and @thebushwickcollective whilst seeing pieces from both new and familiar artists. Thanks again @icelollyholiday for the experience and for @danm121 for snapping this photo!
  • (AD) Riding around the subway with my head buried in a book. And a pretty useful book at that! We were one our way to Brooklyn to visit @barcade all thanks to an insider tip from my @marcopologuides! We spent the afternoon playing arcade games, browsing record stores and wandering around thrift shops in Brooklyn. Thanks for the 📷 @danm121
