The World Travel Market, or otherwise known as the fondly abbreviated WTM, took place this week. Traders, tourism boards and travel bloggers all flocked to the Excel to talk all things travel. speed networking event, on stand demonstrations and lots of fantastic talks during the three days. I only attended for two days but got to see and do so much. So here’s a few of the things I got up to. Plus a few tips of my own

  • One year ago today this happened. Thank you for the most beautiful ring, the best day of my life and the promise of many more amazing years to come.
  • Knole Park is one of my favourite @nationaltrust sites. It’s super close to London by car or train, is a great place to walk of a weekend and there’s a whole herd of wild deer. I’ve written a post on my blog about exploring Knole Park and if you’re interested the links in my bio. Thanks for the 📷 @danm121
  • (AFFILIATE) Charles Darwin’s Home, Down House, is one of my favourite @englishheritage sites I’ve visited so far. The beautiful greenhouse, Darwin’s study and this door 😍 My latest post is all about my experience there, as well as practical information on how to get there and how much it’ll cost you.
  • Seaside walks with this one
  • ☕️ Breakfast in Boston ☕️ I had some great breakfasts whilst in the city and most of that is down to @tattebakery. Their pastry selection is insane, the decor is beautiful and the food is super tasty. If you’re ever there I highly recommend the Ginger Morning Bun. You can read about Tatte Bakery and more of my favourite spots in my latest blog post.
  • Christmas time in Boston 🎄I’ve just got back from a short trip to the city where I’ve had the BEST time. I ate a lot of good food, went to my first ‘holiday party’ and got to catch up with friends too. Plus just look at how beautiful Boston Common looks!
  • Mine and @danm121 first journey out in the new car took us back to Knole Park in Kent. The sunsets are beautiful, it’s peaceful and there are deer everywhere. Great place for a Sunday evening walk! 🦌🌳🍂
  • (GIFTED) For the past few weekends myself and @danm121 played tourist in our own city all thanks to @citywonderstours. We watched the Changing of the Guards, visited the State Rooms in Buckingham Palace and got to see the Opening Ceremony at the Tower of London. I’ve written a blog about my experience so click the link in the bio to find out more.
  • If you’re ever in Taunton be sure to take a walk along the Bridgewater & Taunton Canal. Lovely countryside views, wildlife and heaps of blackberries just dying to be picked and turned into crumbles.
  • Hall Place in Bexley is part of the #openhouselondon programme for this year. I visited last summer and it was such a nice place to visit. The gardens are beautiful and it makes for a great picnic spot too!
  • It’s @openhouselondon this weekend. Where are you going to explore? This was taken way back in 2017 when me and Dan visited City Hall in London. What a stunning building and a fantastic weekend if you’re looking to explore London in a way that you’re not always able.
  • I’ve only been an English Heritage member for a month but I already LOVE it! This is just some of the things they send you when you sign up, as well as giving you access to 400 sites around the England, free parking and other discounts too. All this for just £8.75 per month (for both me and Dan). Check out my latest blog post for more information on why you should become a member.
