In April myself and friends visited Scandinavia for the first time. We were in the city over the Easter period and despite the holiday we still managed to cram in a lot of exploring. So if you’re thinking of visiting this lovely city here are my suggestions on what to do in no particular order.

  • I’m back from Boston and feeling SUPER jet lagged. It was a productive work trip and I got to spend some time exploring at the weekend too! The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway is a lovely spot in the city. And the perfect location for browsing the street food and craft stalls in the sun.
  • Doing what we do best when in the USA... eating pizza! Stumbled across Monica’s Mercato Pizza whilst wandering the streets of Boston’s Little Italy! 🇮🇹 🍕 🇺🇸
  • Lovely day spent catching up with @cat_turley in Richmond. There was sun, free shots and a huge rubber duck! 🦆
  • (GIFTED) Birthday boating 🥳 🛥 💦 I was lucky enough to spend my birthday boating along the river around Kingston and Hampton Court. Such beautiful views, company and weather. Thank you to @goboatldn for the experience.
  • (GIFTED) Discovering the street art in Brooklyn’s Bushwick was one of my favourite parts of our New York trip. I got to learn more about the area and @thebushwickcollective whilst seeing pieces from both new and familiar artists. Thanks again @icelollyholiday for the experience and for @danm121 for snapping this photo!
  • (AD) Riding around the subway with my head buried in a book. And a pretty useful book at that! We were one our way to Brooklyn to visit @barcade all thanks to an insider tip from my @marcopologuides! We spent the afternoon playing arcade games, browsing record stores and wandering around thrift shops in Brooklyn. Thanks for the 📷 @danm121
  • Missing these New York City Views right about now. In honour of these views I’ve updated one of my old NYC blog posts to include the Staten Island Ferry as one of the best views in NYC. Keep your eyes peeled!
  • Had been waiting forever to spot this street art piece in NYC and then we stumbled on it after a day exploring Soho! I love that you can wander the city of New York and find street art pieces wherever you go. It’s like London in that respect! Thanks for the photo @danm121 😘
  • If you’re in NYC I would highly recommend cycling around Central Park. It’s a quick and fairly cheap ($20 per person) way of seeing all of the park. Be warned it is a 10km ride and it’s super uphill in parts. Stock up on pancakes before setting off! Thanks for the 📷 @danm121
  • (AD) 18 miles of old, new and rare books can be found in Strand Book Store. It’s a book lovers paradise! And surprisingly enough I hadn’t come across this place in any of research until I started reading my @marcopologuides of New York City! 📚
  • Staten Island Ferry views. This time we made sure we took a free ride in the Staten Island Ferry after missing out last time. The views of the city and the Statue of Liberty were great and it was made all the better that the sun was out!
  • Spending time in Brooklyn was on our list for this trip to NYC and today we accomplished just that! We browsed record shops and thrift stores, spotted some street art, played arcade games and got some great views of the Manhattan skyline. It’s been a day of wandering but we loved every second.
